Wall-able and Wearable Art!

I started painting back in the 1960s, but really started taking it seriously in Art Classes at good old Elmhurst College.

That was the first time someone (my painting prof) asked me, “Can’t you see the colours in the shadows?”

Over the course of several years, I began to see it. My artwork ever since has been an in-depth study of the interplay of light and shadow.

I’ve written extensively about Figurative Art and Contemporary Art. It’s simply the way I “see” the world. and taking the time to actually put brush to canvas has kept me sane (OK, as sane as I can be…)

For the last several years, we’ve travelled (all that stopped, of course, with Covid.) We spent 6 months in Costa Rica, and 3 months in Spain. I mention this because I have painting stuff in Costa Rica, but not in Spain.

My creative needs weren.t being met in in Spain, but luckily I’d created a painting of three traditional Costa Rican dancers, (called, of course, “3 Dancers”) and almost immediately received a note requesting a print of the painting.

That was something I hadn’t considered. But off I went, and soon, I’d created this store. I started with prints, but then discovered the joys of POD (Print on Demand) printing on clothes.

I really got into it. Soon, I had a collection of wearable art (and I coined the term “wall-able” art for the prints.)

I discovered that I really like designing clothes.

Who knew?

Here, you’ll find Wall Art, articles of clothing and accessories, and even a few household items. Each item features one of my paintings or photographs. I’ve worked to be sure that the image is bold and attention grabbing wall-able or wearable art.

The links below lead to my favourite categories, but there’s a lot more to see. Use the broad menus above for more examples of my wearable art.

And if you want to know what’s new, give this a click!

Have a look around. I’m sure you’ll find something you love.

Amazing look, feel, fit

I have several pair of Wayne’s store’s leggings, and I love them. Just received these a week ago.
The fit is perfect, the colours are bold, and the other pairs I have haven’t faded in the months I’ve had them.
And then, there’s the fabric! It’s soft, comfortable, and breathable.
I couldn’t be happier!”

Cool! Glad you like them!

Los Flores” is a lovely statement of a bathing suit

So, this is kind of a multi-part review, as I own three of the bathing suits, and I decided to review them all! The design on the “Los Flores” bathing suit is taken from a Costa Rican flower. The black and white motif is elegant, and the flowers draw the eye!
But here’s what you really need to know. I took the bathing suits with me to Costa Rica for SIX MONTHS. Each suit was in the (chlorinated) pool at least once a day. After 6 months, I can see no stretching, and absolutely no fading!
This bathing suit is simple and understated, and I love the fit and feel.”

A real attention getter–“Dia de Los Muertos” bathing suit

So, this is kind of a multi-part review, as I own three of the bathing suits, and I decided to review them all! The “Dia de Los Muertos” bathing suit really gets attention. I’ve had nothing but compliments! The colour and detail of the main “doll” is amazing. (I looked on Wayne’s painting site… the painting is amazing too!)
But here’s what you really need to know. I took the bathing suits with me to Costa Rica for SIX MONTHS. Each suit was in the (chlorinated) pool at least once a day. After 6 months, I can see no stretching, and absolutely no fading! This is a suit that gets attention. And questions. So be prepared to be wearing a conversation starter. Oh! Let me just say that the suit fits perfectly! I’m glad I went with the sizes on the info page. And the fabric is soft to the touch, even after repeated dunkings and washings.”

Love the colour, fit, and fabric — “Swims With The Fishes.”

My favourite is “Swims With The Fishes.” I can’t believe the colour and detail of the lion fish.
But here’s what you really need to know. I took the bathing suits with me to Costa Rica for SIX MONTHS. Each suit was in the (chlorinated) pool at least once a day.
After 6 months, I can see no stretching, and absolutely no fading! And don’t get me started on the feel and fit. The fabric was and is soft, yet fits like a glove.
If you like a suit that’s dramatic and eye catching, and that features the natural beauty of the lion fish, this suit is for you.”

So glad you like it! The fabric is amazingly durable. And the suits are fun to design.

Wow! It looks as good in real life as it does on the website. Fabric is absolutely gorgeous. Probably the nicest feeling bathing suit fabric I have ever owned! And the art work is stunning. This will certainly be a suit that gets me some looks!”
